di_corvidaeDi Corvidae patterns are designed by Robin Melanson. Robin is a knitwear designer and technical editor with ten years of industry experience writing patterns for publication in magazines, books, and for yarn companies.

The di Corvidae label represents Robin's interpretation of color and texture found in the botanical and geological worlds. She renders her ideas in beautiful natural materials.

Bio

Robin Melanson is a freelance knitwear designer and technical editor, living near Montreal, Quebec. She is the author of Knitting New Mittens and Gloves (STC Craft, 2008). Robin's designs have been published in Interweave Knits, Knit.1, Knitscene, Knit Simple, Knitter's Magazine, Twist Collective, Verena, and Vogue Knitting. She also designs patterns for yarn companies. Robin's work appears in My Grandmother's Knitting (STC Craft, 2011), Color Style (Interweave Press, 2008), Folk Style (Interweave Press, 2007), Handknit Holidays (STC Craft, 2005), and Wrap Style (Interweave Press, 2005). Robin created custom knitwear for the stage productions of Rock of Ages (Royal Alexandra Theatre, Toronto), Aida (Canadian Opera Company, Toronto), Mary Poppins (New Amsterdam Theatre, New York) and Mary Poppins Tour, and The Lord of the Rings (Princess of Wales Theatre, Toronto).
